INTRODUCTION: The internet is full of dumb criminal stories, here are few I found.
• ILLUS: ‘‘A man and his girlfriend were robbing a convenience store. While waiting for her boyfriend to finish getting the money, the woman noticed a contest entry form. Thinking it would be cool to win, she filled out the form, complete with her name, address, and phone number. A few hours later the police were at the couple’s house to arrest them.’’
• This is my favorite - Another I read was about a man who burst through the doors of a building and yelled, ‘‘This is a hold up.’’ Though he had meant to rob the post office next door, the man had burst into his local police station.


I) DON’T STEAL! -
Stealing was a common problem in Paul’s day, just as it is in ours. This was especially true among the slaves. Usually they were not well cared for and offered little protection under the law. Often they would steal to try and make ends meet. Paul commands them to stop stealing and work hard.

Just what is involved in stealing from someone
A) CONVENTIONAL THEFT - This means to hold someone up, to take what is theirs through force or stealth. ‘‘According to one report, larceny or theft makes up 56% of all crime committed in America. A four year college student has a 53 % chance of having his or her bike stolen. Bicycle theft is a billion dollar a year business! An estimated 5 and ½ billion bikes are stolen every year.
Shop lifting is an epidemic 10 million dollars of merchandise are stolen every year. It is a real problem among teens. About 1/3 of all shoplifters caught in the US are between 13 and 17!
