THE MARTYR

Acts 12:1-2

How grateful we are for our ministry of music. Choir, we thank you.
All who led. Prepared our hearts in a supernatural way for worship.
Hope your Bibles are open to Mark Chapter number 10. We're studying the
Apostle James tonight, the brother of John, the sons of Zebedee. James.
Mark 10:35 following:
35 And James and John, the two sons of Zebedee, came to him
saying to him, Teacher, we want you to do for us whatever we
ask of you.
36 And he [Jesusl said to them, What do you want me to do for
you?
37 And they said to him, Grant that we may sit in your
glory, one on your right, and one on your left.
38 But Jesus said to them, you do not know what you are
asking for. Are you able to drink the cup that I drink or
to be baptized with the baptism with which I am baptized?
39 And they said to him, We are able.
Let's pray together. Father, we honor today the working men and women
of our nation. We honor today those who have given of themselves
tirelessly, who have prepared that foundation of civilization and
culture upon which we stand and through which we live. We know that we
are here by blood, sweat, and tears, and by the sacrifice of our fore-
fathers, and we praise them, 0 Lord, as we praise the light of Christ
that many of us see reflected in our own beings. Now, dear Lord as we

look at one of the chosen men of your 5(yri, wL- as-k tha-L you wilill speak to
our hearts. Dear Father, let me get out of the way so that thy word and
thy holy and divine message might not only be heard but may it be
re-cL-Ived and upderstood ...
