PROMISES TO KEEP

Joshua 14:6-15


I invite you to open your Bibles to Joshua, Chapter 14. We continue our

study in this book, as we bow for prayer together.


"Father, we thank You for speaking to our hearts in worship, for somehow,

in a supernatural way, taking a song, a prayer, almost an aside, a word, a

greeting from a friend, and using these little things in a life-changing

fashion. Lord, to be here with this our family is a thrill. To be accepted

and to be loved when we feel lonely, disenfranchised, unwanted. When we

have questions that seemingly have no answers, we have decisions to make

that before us are all choices and everyone seems to be unpleasant. Lord,

we thank Ybu for cutting through a!! the verree-r and red @Lape- and ch-;Icanery

and all the gloss and all the tinsel, and getting down to the essence of

us, down to the middle of us, and stirring our minds and our hearts and

our consciences until we, yea Father, until we decide, once and for all, to

make that full surrender to Thee. Lord, You speak now. Let me get out of

the way so that Thy word and Thy holy and divine message might not only be

heard, but may it be understood and received and incorporated into our lives.

Yea, Lord, may many of us never be the same because You've dealt with us,

You've touched us in this time of worship, believing, trusting, leaning. We

pray always through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen."
