THE AGONY OF DF-FLAT
Joshua 7:13
I hope you already have your Bibles open to Joshua, chapter seven. Every-
body all right tonight? How many Bibles do we have? If you brought your
Bible with you, lift it up in the air? Whew! Amen. I'm going to preach
from the Bible tonight, because all of you brought your Bibles. If we don't
preach from the Bible, we haven't preached, have we? We're going to look
at Joshua, chapter seven. But let's pray before we begin.
"Father, we thank You for this holiday weekend. We pray for Your safety
for those who are traveling, for those who are visiting relatives and friends.
And, Lord, we pray tonight that You will make us safe in Your presence. So
cleanse us so that we may truly be holy before Thee and be able to go into
Thy presence, not with hat in hand, but yea, boldly, yea, humbly. Because
we're confident of the cleansing through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Father,
You speak. Let me get out of the way so that Thy word, and Thy holy and
divine message might not only be heard, but may it be received and under-
stood and incorporated into our living. For we pray through Jesus Christ,
our Savior, our Lord, our entree' to Thee. Amen."
