This morning, we conclude our series on the book of Proverbs called Wisdom for Living. Remember, wisdom is more than knowledge, it’s more than education. It’s more than knowing facts or figures - having diplomas or degrees. Wisdom is the supernatural ability to see life from God’s perspective. (ON SCREEN) Wisdom comes only from God!

Today, from Proverbs 27-18, I’m talking about A Simple Reminder. As we conclude our series, there are a few principles we need to consider. But these are some things you already know. They are reminders. There’s nothing new here. READ 27:1-2, 17, 21; 28:5-6, 13, 26

Following Jesus is about doing the things you know to do, not trying to find new things to do all the time. Serving Christ isn’t about discovering some new truth. It’s about living out the truth we already know.

*I have a love/hate relationship with modern technology. And I have a feeling that most of you are somewhere on this spectrum. There are certain people who absolutely love every technological advancement. They are called ‘‘early adopters.’’ Any time a new gadget or improvement shows up, they are the first ones to try it out. These were the people walking around with Google Glasses a few years ago trying to surf the web on the lenses of their glasses. Then, people on the other end of the spectrum avoid every technological advance and absolutely refuse to adapt to any updates or changes. These are the people who will never buy a smart phone. In fact, they only bought a cell phone because someone in their life forced them to at some point. These are people who can’t stand all the talk about social media, crypto-currency, and software updates. Well, I have to admit, I find myself somewhere in the middle.
