Pr. Smith: Hey, welcome to Mission Hills. So good to have you with us this weekend. Honored you'd spend a little bit of time with us today. I'd like to talk to you today about closing the gap where you can't conceal it. Closing the gap where you can't conceal it. For the last several weeks, we've been talking about living out our faith in Jesus, living out our relationship with Jesus. And one of the things we've said over and over again in this series is, we don't live our way into the relationship with God. We don't behave our way into belonging to God. But because we belong to God, that has an impact on how we behave over time. Not overnight, but over time, it changes how we behave or at least it should. Right? But the truth of the matter is we've all got gaps. Okay? I got gaps. You got gaps. There's gaps between who God calls us to be as His children and who others perceive us to be because of our actions. Right?

God says that, you know, we're no longer rebels, we're representatives. But sometimes I don't represent Jesus all that well. And what people see about Jesus in me isn't always who He really is. There's a gap there. God says, you know, you're no longer enemies. You're children, you're adopted children, you're sons and daughters of the king. But sometimes we're kind of like spoiled kids, right? There's gaps. I got gaps. You have gaps? How many of you have gaps? Yeah? Okay. Tell you what? Let's just settle into this reality together. Let's just be real with each other. If you're watching online, if you got somebody within earshot or if you're one of our campuses, find somebody right next to you, look at them and say, "I got gaps."
