Matthew 28:18-20
You are the church, the called out ones, the peculiar ones in the earth. You are the ones who march to the beat of a different drum, follow a different master, You carry the presence of God and the power of God wherever you go. People see it. You are the light of the world. You shine brightly in a dark world. You’ve been marked with the fingerprints of God all over you. He has been working in you and upon you, strengthening you, renewing you and preparing you for this next season. Don’t shrink back but run forward into what He has for you. It is a glorious work. He desires to move in you and through you in a greater measure this year. You are His masterpiece. He is making something beautiful of your life. Receive it. Rejoice in it.
You’ve received the gospel and now you are carriers of the gospel. You are stewards, ambassadors of the good news and not only do you have the right message, you have the story to back it up. You are walking, breathing, living proof of the reality of God in the earth. You are living epistles, letters written by God to the world explaining what He can do for them. When people want proof of the existence of a Living God, all they have to do is look at you. Listen, the greatest proof of the resurrection of Jesus is a life that’s been transformed by him. AND THAT IS YOU AND ME. I was dead in my trespasses and sins, but now I’ve been made alive in Christ Jesus.
As a body of believers, those that have been transformed through the power of God Himself. We have all been given a mission to accomplish. And He has called us to be faithful stewards of the mission.
In the business world, most companies have a mission and a vision and every department represented in that company has a mission that marries up to the mission of the company, and every team in a particular department has a mission that marries up to the mission of the department.
