Heart of Jesus
Duane L. Bemis
Matthew 9:35-38; Ezekiel 34:4-5; Ezekiel 34:11-12

Learning what makes Jesus smile, makes Him sad, or what makes Him glade has become my drive in Christianity. Imagine what will happen when you ask the Lord to see like He sees, and feel like He feels. After thinking and praying to see as He sees, and feel what He feels; saying this kind of prayer, I had to ask Jesus to slow down. I might be at Walmart, 7-11, or driving by a homeless person. baby. Cashier looked at me and said, ‘‘I’ve been working hear almost 30 years and no one has done what you are doing!’’

Responding to the cashier, ‘‘Not me it is all Jesus.’’

After me in line the Harley Davidson poster man, announcing to everyone, ‘‘Did you see what he just did for this young mother and her baby?’’ All I did was pointed towards heaven with my index finger.

Another Story Time: I had this student who continued to take my class. His nickname was Stinky. Stinky signed up for my class again and again. This semester started but this time I asked the Lord to see Stinky the way Jesus sees him. The very next afternoon as I opened my classroom door Stinky was in front of me and I almost cried. Feeling and seeing this young man’s poverty; the Lord changed my thoughts first. The next night at my kitchen table and
