Prayer Rhythm Part 1 (3 of 9)
Series: Rhythm
Steve Jones
Acts 2:38

SERIES SUMMARY: We all want to live an abundant life and a holy life but sometimes we struggle. To struggle less we must stay in “rhythm” with the Holy Spirit. This series is about how to stay in “rhythm” with the Holy Spirit by practicing what are traditionally known as the spiritual disciplines.

SERMON SUMMARY: This sermon deals with the Holy Spirit rhythm of prayer. We show that prayer is connected to the Holy Spirit in three ways: 1) The POWER connection. 2) The HOLINESS connection. 3) The PEACE connection.

Rom.8:26 ‘‘The Spirit helps us in our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words’’

Whatever else that verse means, it means that the Holy Spirit gets involved when we pray

Lk.3:21-22 ‘‘As Jesus was PRAYING, the heave ...
