Introduction

1. How are you feeling today? According to a recent new survey, you might honestly answer ‘‘Not too well.’’ Gallup’s annual Global Emotion’s Report has found that Americans are more stressed, worried and angry than they have been in a decade. Listen to this survey. American’s are more worried and stressed than most people around the world:
55% of Americans said they had felt stressed the day before the survey compared to a global average of 35% percent.
45% of Americans said they were worried a lot in comparison to a 39% global average.
More than 20% of Americans said they felt a lot of anger.
Greece, the Philippines, and Tanzania were the only countries with stress rates higher than the United States.

2. Socialists and psychologists across the landscape freely admit that America’s mental health is not healthy. An article entitled, ‘‘America’s Insomnia Problem is Even Worse Than Before the Great Recession,’’ has said that American’s are more stressed and worried than ever and for many of them their bank accounts are to blame. Sixty-five percent of American’s are losing sleep over money issues. American’s are also worried about healthcare, saving for retirement, student loans, mortgage payments, and credit cards. Even as new vaccines are hitting the market, sixty-six percent of American’s say they are worried stiff about Covid-19 and its affects.

3. Emotions in America are running from sky-high, to barrel low, and feelings affect all of us. If you were honest, it would be interesting to see how many of you would say things like ‘‘angry, lonely, bitter, depressed, fearful and worried.’’ That is why we are going to enter into a series that we are calling ‘‘No Hard Feelings.’’
