I will never forget being a teenager and going to Friday night football games and the dances that were held after the home games. There were a certain group of guys that I would usually hang around with, especially when I was a younger teenager. We would usually walk around the track and stop and talk to various people as the game was going on.
One of the things that I still laugh about every time I think about was how that each and every time that some of the guys in our group saw certain other guys, they would run straight towards them and the fight was on.
I don’t care if it was every week or every day, if these guys saw each other, there would be a fight, though nobody ever was really injured or hurt. In time, I had learned to expect this and we would all stand back and watch.
One of the guys would always run towards his arch enemy and dive right into their knees, and the fighting was on, before they either stopped or someone broke it up.
Though I was just a young teen, this made no sense to me and I asked them why they always wanted to fight those other guys and the reply was always “We don’t like them.” I asked “But, why don’t you like them?” In reality the feud had started with older members of the two families and these guys were just carrying it on.
