John 15:18-25

Henry Smith - ‘‘God examines (our faith) with trials,
the devil with temptations, the world with persecutions.’’

Our English word persecution comes from the Latin word
which means ‘‘to persistently follow.’’ In other words,
to persecute someone is to harass them by stalking them.

Acts 4:1-3 Peter and John were arrested.
Acts 8:3; 9:1-2 Saul arresting believers.

Hebrews 10:32-33 You endured a hard struggle with sufferings, sometimes being publicly exposed to reproach and affliction.
