James 1:16-18

The worse thing that I can imagine is having a God, who created the universe and all there is (including mankind), plus created all that there WILL BE (eternity - heaven, life, etc) and then leaves us to our own to work out or find our way there.

Fortunately, Jehovah God, the God of love, mercy, creation, and justice, didn't and doesn't do that; rather, He has given us clear instruction. He tells us who we are - we are all sinners separated from Him by our sin and sin nature. He tells us what will happen to us if we remain in this state. Furthermore, He tells us what we must do to change our eternal outcome. He then offers us the gift of abundant life here and eternal life beyond the grave and gives us, again, clear instructions of how to secure this life, both NOW and THEN.

Additionally, He is quite clear that once we receive this gift of life from Him through His Son-Jesus, our lives take on a different direction and meaning. Plus, HOW WE LIVE in this lost world means everything. IT means everything to us, as we demonstrate daily how Jesus has changed us. It means everything to the church that we are a part of. To Him, because how we live affects the impact of the gospel.
