Introduction:
The world in which we live believes that to be happy one must eat, drink, and be merry. They would advocate to live it up and forget God, but Paul goes into detail here in this passage on why we should live our lives for Jesus Christ, and how that benefits the Christian here in this life, and in the one to follow! We notice three observations from the Apostle Paul.

Body:
1- Paul’s Dilima 19 For I know that this shall turn to my salvation through your prayer, and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ, Paul assures the Philippian believers that God will supply all of his needs starting with salvation and it comes from their prayers for Paul, and the power of the Holy Spirit of God! There were some who were preaching Christ after contention, strife, and envy, trying to make Paul jealous. But the Apostle Paul says that he is just glad that the Gospel is getting out and that people could be saved at the preaching of the Gospel. There may have even been some who belittled Paul because he was a preacher, and he was in prison. But in that day and time, that was the place God wanted Paul so he would have time to write the four prison Epistles of Philippians, Ephesians, Colossians, and Philemon. God can take a bad situation and turn it into a great situation to the glory of God! Paul was not a jealous man, for he knew that we all have different gifts and abilities, and that we are on the same team! There is no need to be jealous of another individual. Paul is writing from orison, and says that he is delighted that the people were hearing about a living Savior who could wash our sins as white as snow, and secure for us our salvation from sin and hell, and put us in a heavenly mansion forever and forever!
