You know one of my least favorite things to do - Clean the House
When I was a kid, my brother and I had to clean the house all the time
My parents even had a cleaning company clean their house, and we had to clean the house before they came.
We all appreciate a clean house, though, right. When you go visit someone, you want their house clean
The same with someone's car. You want to get in a clean vehicle.
Can we just confess it is hard to keep it clean, especially when you have kids
They leave junk in your car
They leave shoes all over the place at home
They never pick up a blanket on the couch
They leave their cereal bowl out
I mean, come on!!!
Yet, you get a call, ''Hey, we are in the neighborhood and thought we would stop by.''
You go into panic mode!!!
I want to talk today about how God used a boy named Josiah to clean the house of Judea.
Judea had gone into a spiritual drought because they hid the book of the law for an estimated 50 years.
A spiritual Drought -
The book of the law or the Book of Deuteronomy was written by the hand of Moses. It was hidden by the High Priest to protect it from destruction by the wicked king
2 Chronicles 34:1 ''Josiah was eight years old when he became king''
Josiah, the grandson of Manasseh -
Manasseh was the Grandfather of a King we will study today
• the fourteenth king of Judah
• his father was Hezekiah, who was a great king
• began his reign at the age of 12 and reigned for 55 years
• he followed a wicked course of idolatry,
• rebuilding the high places his father had destroyed,
• erecting altars to Baal, setting up an Asherah,
• worshiping the stars, moon, and sun: ''the host of heaven.''
