INTRO. Little boy tightly clutching his money in his fist - still had it when his
parents picked him up after Sunday School. "Why didn't you put in your
money?" Little boy replied, "I didn't see nothing worth my nickel." Failure of
people to give a budget comes because they don't understand to what they give.

I. HUMAN NEED CONSTRAINS US TO SHARE HIS LOVE - Matthew 9:36
(an outward thing)

A. The why of BAB - "Not just for us" - from the beginning - for the
others - lost - undone - without Christ. (Reasons for moving from
Brooklyn Heights to BAB - to now property. To reach men for Christ.
The reason men and women have given time - labor. Sound system -
light, etc.)

B. The heart of our budget is for the purpose of winning men to Christ!
and growing them in faith.

1) The mission outreach

a) Cooperative Program - don't knock it until you have
tried it. Try it, you'll like it (Bible Baptist Churches) no
better plan. (over 50 people on foreign fields depend on
us.)
b) Our local missions projects
c) Our Staff - Committed to minister to human need. Soul
winners, equippers of Christians.
d) The very funds for the upkeep of this
building and those for new facilities are
to win men to Christ.

C. The cry of the city - Less people in God's house now than in 1950 or
60. Less churches per person now than the. 60% children in Day Care
Center - no father in the home.

II. DIVINE RESOURCES ENABLE US TO SHARE HIS LOVE

A. All that we see and are belongs to God! (Creation) Matthew 28:18-
19

B. Resources - physical

Men belong to Him.
Means belong to Him.
Message belongs to Him.

The Means (resources) We are not without resources - prosperous
beyond the dreams of the world - even the retired have more than 9/10th
of the world.

ILL. Average Baptist Church -20% give 85% of the total budget; 10%
give 50%; 20 - 40% give nothing. (78% g ...
