We've all heard the phrase ''the odds are not in your favor.'' While it means the likelihood of succeeding may be slim, it is not an impossibility. There is still a chance. Some people live to fight the odds. They love being the underdog. If there is the slightest chance, they are willing to take it.

No one likes having the odds stacked against us. We would much rather find ourselves in the opposite situation, one where the odds are firmly in our favor. That is a much more comfortable, enjoyable, and hopeful place to be.

The one place no one wants to find themselves in is the ''when pigs fly'' category. That means our chances are no longer slim to none, it's just none because slim packed up and left town. When we find ourselves in the ''when pigs fly'' territory, it ain't going to happen.

As we look at Psalm 2, we encounter a group of people who thought they were dwelling in the realm of possibility when in reality they were living in a ''no fly zone for pigs.'' Their desires would go unfulfilled. Their goals were unachievable. They vastly overestimated themselves and greatly underestimated their opponent.

Let's read about these people living in ''when pigs fly'' territory and discover what their lofty but unattainable dreams were and why they were unattainable.
