His New World

Acts 1:8-11

(Vid-He is the King-McSpadden 1m). We began with that video because too often we forget that HE IS THE KING and this is His New world! This World we are studying in the book of Acts is HIS. ''The earth is the Lord and the fullness thereof.'' Our worship is not for us, it is to be FROM US to Him. Our lives are not to be FOR US, we live for HIM. Don Moen expressed it this way, ''All I am, all that I have, I lay them down before You, O Lord. All my regrets, all my acclaim, the joy and the pain, I'm making them yours.''

Christ died for us. He gave His life on the cross for me, so that I didn't have to die, so that you didn't have to die. Then He rose from the grave to offer us abundant life here and eternal life beyond the grave. Several times in scripture the question is asked, ''What must I do to be saved?'' The response always is; ''Repent of your sins, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved.'' The tale-tale sign of this decision is obedience . Jesus says, ''You say you love me and that you are following me; you prove this by your obedience.'' So, you are baptized after you are saved, become a member of a local congregation, begin to study (to show yourself approved by God), and grow in your faith. Your growth takes you from the old world of man to His New World. In His new world, new life emerges. It's a new life with a new focus because we have a new King in a New Kingdom with a new set of standards and a new future.

As we journey through the book of Acts, today we see Jesus giving His final worlds and helps to the people (US). He's leaving us to do the needed work in His new world. He's come, lived, died, rose, and now is ascending leaving a world that needs salvation with salvation and it's in their (ours) hands. We are His plan A for His New World (and He has no plan B). Let's read our text and understand His NEW world. (TEXT)

This New World, His New World is HIS KINGDOM. We must understand ...
