Intro: This generation needs a vision!

Proverbs 29:18, ''Where there is no vision, the people perish.''

Webster says: ''Vision is seeing with other than ordinary sight.''

ILL. Fanny Crosby, though blind, had a vision that enabled her to write. ''Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine, Oh what a foretaste of glory divine!''

The ability to visualize is the ability to see the unseen!

Isaiah went to church, along with others. He saw what God had for him, others did not. These but saw, heard nothing, went home empty!

II. THE HEAVENLY VISION

1. The greatness of God's power! (Verse 1)

Isaiah's life tied up with king. For he had died and all he dreamed vanished. Heartbroken, he goes to the house of the Lord to worship! He saw the Lord lifted up. You see, the King of Kings, Lord of Lords can never die!

He had a vision of God on a throne, ruling over all! God has the whole world in his hand.

ILL. The reason some have breakdowns, stress, Anxiety - they have forgotten this or never knew this principle.

Remember things are happening just like prophets predicted. Falling away, following false teachers, itching ears (Barry Bailey). God is over all!

ILL. 2 Kings 6:16 - Elisha, Syrians surrounded him. Read: ''Oh, my Lord, what shall I do?'' ''Don't be afraid,'' the prophet answered, ''Those who are with us are more than those who are with them.''

And Elisha prayed, ''Lord, open his eyes that he may see.'' Then the Lord opened the servants eyes and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha!''

My friend, they are there! When the enemy comes in like a flood, God will raise up a standard. He has a wall of fire around you. Earthly kings come and go; don't worry. Worry is the opposite of faith. Worry says ''Thou that lieth, Oh God.'' Worry turned around, you have faith; faith turned around, you have worry! ''Have faith in God - He's on His throne...''
