Isaiah 6:1-9

Introduction

1. What name is mentioned more often in the Bible than any other name? It is an easy answer. It is God. The name ‘‘God’’ is mentioned 4473 times in 3893 verses. That name will be spoken about, thought about and written about every day more than any other name on this planet. To me, that begs a question that I would like to ask all of us today and it is this, ‘‘When you think about God what comes into your mind?’’ I hope during this entire message you will give that question serious thought for this reason. If God is the ‘‘mean old man god’’ who not only hates sin but doesn’t care for sinners either and loves to punish and send to hell, you probably won’t want anything to do with him. If you see God as the ‘‘good ole boy god’’ who is just your buddy and your homeboy, then you will think he is cool with any ...
