We continue a study in the book of I Peter. It is a book written by the Holy Spirit through Peter the Apostle. It was written towards the end of his life around the year AD 63. He is writing to persecuted believers encouraging them to keep their Hope In Jesus.

Text: I Peter 1:5-12

We Have Joy In Our Salvation v. 5

God is protecting you

By His power He is keeping you.

Your salvation is protected by Him and in Him.

Bridge: So now we are truly glad...

We are truly glad v.6

Because of all that God has done for us.

Because we are chosen, made holy by the Spirit and cleansed by Jesus.

Key Pt: Our joy is based in what Jesus has done. We now can live with great
Hope and joy now and in the future.

We live Triumphant in Trial v. 6-8

So now the trials are producing for us.

Don't let the enemy talk to you.

Trials are not an indication of God being mad at you.

Trials are not to destroy you.

Trials increase our faith in Jesus

Trials are tests to show who you are trusting.

Like fire purifies gold, so trials purify your faith.
