I Peter 3:18-22


We continue a study in the book of I Peter. It is a book written by the Holy Spirit through Peter the Apostle. It was written towards the end of his life around the year AD 63. He is writing to persecuted believers encouraging them to keep their Hope In Jesus.

Text: I Peter 3:18-22

Christ Died

Christ Died Once

He died once and for all of our sins.

Notice it was not His sins but our sins that He died for on the cross.

The Righteous for the Unrighteous

Because of Adam's Sin all of us became unrighteous.

Because of Jesus Obedience we all become righteous.

To Bring Us Home To God

Jesus was reconciling us back to God.

There was nothing we can do to get God to accept us.

Key Pt: Religion says to us to keep trying and maybe God will accept you. Be good and Hope that you can be good enough.

Jesus says you don't have to try but Trust in what I have done for you. This
Is called Grace. God gives to you what you cannot earn or deserve. Jesus has done it all!
