We continue a study in the book of I Peter. It is a book written by the Holy Spirit through Peter the Apostle. It was written towards the end of his life around the year AD 63. He is writing to persecuted believers encouraging them to keep their Hope In Jesus.

Text: I Peter 4:1-6

Look At Jesus v. 1

Jesus Suffered

He went through betrayal and isolation.

He was asked questions regarding his Identity.

Jesus was talked about

He never retaliated when he was insulted

He never struck back when he was mocked and abused.

Key Pt: Peter is getting these suffering people to look at Jesus. When you are
Suffering you begin to look at yourself and your situation.

Peter is telling them the way to win is to do the exact opposite. Get your
Eyes off of yourself and put your eyes on Jesus. Jesus is our hero, our
Example.

The Bible exhorts us to ''Fix our eyes on Jesus who is the Author and finisher
Of our faith.'' Jesus is the one who will bring us through. Trust Him

Think Like Jesus v. 1

Learn to think like Jesus

It is a learning process by the Holy Spirit to think like Jesus.

The Word of God gets us to think like Jesus.

Why Thinking?

Right thinking leads to right living.
It is not right situations or right circumstances that leads to right living but
Right thinking.
