We continue a study in the book of I Peter. It is a book written by the Holy Spirit through Peter the Apostle. It was written towards the end of his life around the year AD 63. He is writing to persecuted believers encouraging them to keep their Hope In Jesus.

The Right Way

In the same way

Just like the Elders or leaders should lead the right way.

Don't lead by demanding or demeaning ways but by example.

The Young Leaders Need To Learn the Right Way

Accept the authority of the elders.

Learning is coming under and accepting the authority God has placed in your
Life.

Peter is telling them this because as a young leader he was not the greatest
Example in the beginning.

Key Pt: Correcting Jesus and Jesus calling Him a Devil.
Bold and Brash statements of saying he will never deny Jesus.

Key Pt: Why is Peter telling them to accept the authority of the Elders? It is not
Human nature to accept it

Accepting authority is an issue of TRUST. If you are not going to Trust God
Then you will not submit to the authority He has placed over you.

He says to clothe yourself with Humility.
Key Pt: Humility is not a feeling but a choice. He said for you to do it.

Peter is now thinking about Jesus who unclothed himself and humbled Himself.
