I want to begin a new series on Friday Night on The Kingdom of God. I realize that some of us have some inclination about The Kingdom Of God. Some of us may think we know what The Kingdom of God is and what it entails and in fact many of us do know. But for the sake of all the others I want to cover some aspects about The Kingdom of God that may be beneficial to us to know and understand.
Jesus spent a lot of time speaking on The Kingdom of God. He spoke many parables about The Kingdom of God. In fact we must realize that Jesus came to earth to reestablish The Kingdom of God in the earth.
So lets start off our new series. John 3: 1 - 8
Background
Jesus has been baptized and has started his ministry. He has cleansed the Temple and now Jesus is approached by Nicodemus the main ruler of the Jews. He comes by night because He recognizes that Jesus is not like everybody else. In fact he is smart enough to recognize that there is something different about Jesus.
Yet he cannot really see what is happening.
The Kingdom of God
What is it?
The Kingdom of God manifests wherever the rule and reign of Jesus is Recognized and responded too. It is wherever people submit to the Rulership of Jesus in their lives.
The Kingdom of God is not limited to a building or is fenced in by any Sort of boundaries. The Kingdom of God is waiting to manifest in each And everyone’s life when they recognize and respond to the Lordship Of Jesus Christ.
Who Rules
A Kingdom is ruled by a King. A King has complete rule and reign in The Kingdom.
It is not run by a democratic system, nor run by checks and balances of Power.
Who is Ruled?
The people are subject to the rule and reign of the Kingdom. In turn They have the protection and provision the Kingdom and the King Provide.
