INTRO. It was related that at a great university, a
man passing a music studio heard sounds of violin
music the instructor was saying, "1, 2, 3, - 1, 2, 3
pay attention! Can't you count?" Upon looking inside
he saw looking humbly at his music teacher the great
scientist-mathematician, Albert Einstein! He knew
more math than hundreds of professors, but he couldn't
count simple rhythm.

Most of us are like that! We know much about life -
but we don't know life itself. Many of us have
confused living with existence.

ILL. of Marilyn Monroe - she died alone -
sprawled across her bed - hand on the telephone -
a note was left that told of her loneliness. She
had all that they would call life - "really
living" but she didn't know life Jesus itself -
Jesus Christ.

There are some things Jesus wanted us to know about
Himself-

I. HE WAS THE ORIGINATOR OF LIFE

1. In the beginning when God said, "Let us make
man." He was making sure that there would be no
misunderstanding about the origin of man!
Whatever the scientist, philosopher or the
theologian can say about man's origin let it be
verified by Genesis 1:26 or declared false!

Search as you may - probe the heavens and plum
the depths if you must. You can back no father
than that, God made man - and of the Godhead -
your physical creation was the work of Jesus -
"John 1:3 - Without Him was not anything made
that was made!"

2. Jesus has a claim on your life because he
made you! Well he might say, "I am life."

II. HE IS THE WAY TO NEW LIFE!

1. When Jesus came into this world He saw the
best of men living in darkness looking for light
and life. It was to Nicodemus one of the best
men who came before Jesus to whom Jesus said,
"For God so loved the world that He gave His
only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him
shall not per ...
