Gen 43:30 KJV - And Joseph made haste; for his bowels did yearn upon his brother: and he sought [where] to weep; and he entered into [his] chamber, and wept there.
After all the months of dealing back and forth with his brothers, Joseph is finally face to face with the youngest of the family; Benjamin was his full blooded brother and the last son of his mother Rachel.
Joseph sees Benjamin and he has to flee from the room, because his heart was overflowing, and he wanted to show his brother how much he loved him and had missed him, but he wanted to wait a little bit longer.
I don’t think that Benjamin was involved in all of the mistreatment that the others had placed upon Joseph. Most likely due to his younger age, he was at home with his father and Jacob did not particularly care for him being with all of the older boys.
Family is a very slippery slope at times, often there is none that will stick with you like your family, but on the other hand there is none that can turn on you like family. Joseph still had a deep love for his brothers and in a matter of time he is going to let them know that he was willing to forgive them.
I – The Haste of Joseph
II – The Heart of Joseph
III – The Heaviness of Joseph
My father used to play with my brother and me in the yard. Mother would come out and say, 'You're tearing up the grass'; 'We're not raising grass,' Dad would reply. 'We're raising boys.'
