Romans 4:17-21, 2 Corinthians 5:7
Encountering Jesus will lead us to the Great Unknown. A Life that now is not based on what I feel and see. A life that is not just governed by natural mind, will or emotions. A life is beyond what I can literally understand in my own understanding. It is the Great Unknown called Faith In God.
Text: Romans 4:17-21, 2 Corinthians 5:7 TPT
God's Word Not Our Feelings Is The Foundation
The Promise of God depends on 2 things
It depends on Faith: Trusting in God
It rests on Grace: God's favor and power to accomplish it.
Key Pt: So God's promises depend on us trusting God and it rests
On God's ability to bring it to pass. Grace is the anchor of
Our faith. As we rest in God's Grace, Faith now grows.
God speaks a Promise to Abraham v. 17
God has made Him the Father of many nations.
God declares what is to come as though it is.
Key Pt: God's Promise is the evidence of what He has promised. In other words God
Says I am with you, that means He is with you. Not that he is going to be
With you, or one day be with you.
God tells Abram that He has made him the Father of Many Nations. Yet
The physical reality is that He is old and his wife is barren. What He sees
Does not line up with what God says
God does 2 things
He raises dead things back to life.
God calls those things that be not as though they are.
Key Pt: God speaks the nonexistent into existence. The Creator brings into existence
All that is from that which never was. Anything less than that would be
Adaptation rather than creation.
Growing Stronger In Faith
Abraham believed against all Hope and did not waver v. 18-21
