We continue our Series on the Holy Spirit. We know a lot about Jesus, God the Father who Jesus spoke of and showed Him to us but most people do not know much about the Holy Spirit. Sometimes He is referred to as an it or force rather than a Third Person of the Godhead.

I. He Enters Us - Jesus Tells Us About The Holy Spirit John 14:17

A. He will never leave you.

1. He will be with you.

2. He will also be in you.

Key Pt: It is the act of regeneration when he enters you. You now become a New
Creation. Old things are now behind and the new comes.

B. He is an Advocate, Helper, Encourager - Paraclete called along side to assist. V.16

1. Brought into to Motivate discouraged soldiers

2. Brought into to testify on your behalf in a court of law.

3. Brought into to consult with you on a specific situation.

C. He is a Spirit of truth.

1. He will teach you everything by the scriptures.

2. He will remind you of everything Jesus taught.

D. He Is The Sprit Of Love

1. He enters us to fill our hearts with His Love.

2. Your heart is going to be filled with something.

Key Pt: Romans 5:5 lets us know that the Holy Spirit fills our heart with love. The
Enemy wants to fill your heart with something, the situations want to fill
Your heart with something. But the H.S fill our heart with His Love

II. He Empowers Us Acts 1:4

A. You will receive

1. It is not maybe but a certain fact.

2. Notice the word receive. Not earn or deserve but simply receive.

Key Pt: The Holy Spirit is given because of God's Grace and received by Faith.

B. He is a Gift From The Father Acts 1:4 NLT

1. A gift cannot be earned or deserved.

2. A gift is given on the merit of the one giving the gift not the one receiving.
