Matthew 16:13-20
As we begin 2018 I believe God is calling us to build up people on the right foundation. In order to build the right way you must have the Proper View of Jesus and Yourself. The enemy works hard to distort your view of Who Jesus Is And Who You Really Are. From the very beginning of time the enemy distorted who God was and then has distorted humanity in who they are.
The Bible declares in Proverbs 23:7 ''For as a man thinks in his heart, so is he...'' The way we are is the result of how we think about ourselves. The way other people view us is the result of how we view ourselves.
Transformed Thinking leads to Transformed Living,
Right Believing leads to Right Living.
Remember this: You will never change your life until you change the way you think.

Not only that, but your life will not change until you change the way you speak.
The bible says that Death and Life are in the power of the tongue. Proverbs 18:21
The thoughts you think and the words you speak determine the course of your life!

I. Peter Receives God Thoughts - v. 16
A. Peter declares I know who you are
1. Peter now has a revelation of who Jesus really is.
2. He has been seeing miracles and hearing great teaching.
3. But up to this time He did not really know who Jesus was.

B. You Are The Christ, The Son Of The Living God
1. Jesus you are much more than a teacher, prophet and miracle worker.
2. You are the Messiah, the Son of God sent into the Word to show us what
God is like.
3. You are the person all the Prophets were speaking about. You are the one
Whom Salvation is found in.
