Scripture: II CORINTHIANS 8:1

YOU FIRST!
Or GRACE ABOUNDING!
Dr. Miles Seaborn
2 Corinthians 8:1

INTRO. The church at Corinth was a group of believers
that abounded in talent! Talent greater than any
recorded church in the New Testament. It was rich,
talented, with unlimited possibilities, yet Paul wrote
them at least two letters during his busy ministry.
Teamwork was lacking - it was a church of Prima
Donnas.

It was a stingy church! Paul had invited them to

the spirit of the church! Even those who frown
on it are affected by it.

2. There was bitter strife in the church.

1) Going to court against fellow
Christians. 1 Cor. 6:1-8

2) Divided loyalty to the various
ministers.
Paul - Peter Apollos.
When God's people are basically right
with God and one another, it will be
reflected in the financial con ...
