3 John 1:2
In this message, we will learn what it means to hold onto the truth of God's Word, that the truth would become part of us, in order that we might WALK IN TRUTH. We are to not just know the truth, but to LIVE THE TRUTH. There is a difference. Theologians might know the truth, but are they personally living it? There can be religious people with a lot of book knowledge in the brain, but is the truth in their hearts?
3 John 1:2 Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers. 3 For I rejoiced greatly when brethren came and testified of the truth that is in you, just as you walk in the truth. 4 I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.
John didn't say, ''I rejoiced when they told me you KNEW the truth.'' He said, ''I rejoiced greatly when [I heard that] the truth is in you, just as you WALK in the truth.'' It's not enough to know it. We have to LIVE IT. Too many people are bound up. Somewhere in their life's journey they latched onto something that wasn't true about them or about life, or about God, or even about church, and they began to live it out. Without truth, there is no light and so they can never get a clear picture of where they are in life until TRUTH COMES. That is why it is so vitally important to get a hold of GOD'S WORD because IT IS TRUTH!

This will help you in your marriage, it will help you in raising your kids, it will help you on the job, it will help you in your relationships, it will help you in every area of your life,, and that is to LEARN TO DISCERN TRUTH VS. LIES. Whenever there was a conflict between siblings, 9 out of 10 times it was because there was a conflict going on within one of them.
