The Bible teaches that angels exist. They are God's messengers sent to earth, and they are on assignment to protect mankind and to communicate God's message. But Paul warns us to be careful about angels:
Colossians 2:18 Do not let anyone who delights in false humility and the worship of angels disqualify you for the prize. Such a person goes into great detail about what he has seen, and his unspiritual mind puffs him up with idle notions.
We've been talking about Christmas Angels and the third appearance in the Christmas story is to Joseph. Gabriel appeared to Zechariah to announce the birth of John the Baptist. He also appeared to Mary to announce the birth of Jesus Christ. Today, an unnamed angel appears to Joseph in a dream.
In one of Joel Gregory's books he refers to Joseph as, ''... the forgotten man of Christmas.'' Gregory points out that not one Gospel writer recorded a single spoken word that fell from his lips. But what he did speaks so loudly that we don't need his words to appreciate who he was.
