Giving People What They Need Not What They Want (8 of 41)
Series: Acts

Acts 3:1-11

If we didn't know better we might be tempted to say this was a really lucky day for the beggar. His day began pretty badly. He was laid at the beautiful gate just hoping to receive enough alms so he could eat. However, his morning ended vastly different than it began when He walked away on new legs. It was not luck that made the difference in his day - it was the power of God.

What was this man's greatest need? It was not a penny was it? His greatest need was new legs. So why didn't he ask for new legs? He didn't know he had a choice - but Peter knew. Through Peter God gave to this man not what he asked for but what he needed.

4 And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us.

Ever get irritated when someone on the ...
