We Have a Reason to Be Thankful
Dr. Darrow Perkins
Psalm 107:1-8
Everybody likes to be recognized and/or appreciated. When you do something special or even go out of your way to help somebody or take care of something for them, in most cases, just to hear them say ''thanks'' or ''thank you'' lets you know that they acknowledged your efforts. It makes you feel good or even gives you a sense of accomplishment when you can hear that acknowledgment. This same principle applies to God knowing that He is doing special things for us on a daily basis. Sometimes, we think that since God has not done a specific thing for us today or yesterday that He's not doing anything for us, but truth be told, God is doing something for us on a daily basis, and every minute of the day. For example, it is God who ensures we have air to breathe when we wake up in the morning.
It is God who wakes us up every morning.
It is God that gives us the strength to get out of bed on a daily basis.
It is God that ensures we have a roof over our heads.
It is God that provides for us to eat.
It is God that heals us.
It is God that protects us.
It is God that watches over us.
It is God that ensures we have everything we need.
Therefore, we have a reason to be thankful.

According to 1 John 1:5, ''This then is the message which we have heard of him and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.'' We know that God is Love. In 1 John 4:8 we find, ''He ...
