Have you ever had to deal with something that no matter how hard you tried to work it out, it just wouldn't work? You give it your best effort; put your best foot forward only to find out that all of your efforts are not enough to handle the situation. It's at times like that you feel like all you can do is give up because it appears to be an impossible situation. The word ''impossible,'' means not capable of coming into being or occurring; not possible; not capable of being realized or accomplished. There are times in our lives that the situation seems mighty bleak, mighty rough, or it appears to be impossible. When it looks like it's impossible, that a good time to know the One who specializes in the impossible. Man can only go so far; but God can exceed all limitations as we understand them.

Before we can deal with the impossible, we've got to deal with the One who can handle the impossible. First, the Bible is our source of information that gives us what we need to know concerning God. The Bible says of itself in 2 Timothy 3:16-17, ''16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for corrections, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect thoroughly furnished unto all good works.'' The writer in Proverbs 30:5 tell us, ''Every word of God is pure: he is a sun and shield unto them that put their trust in him.'' So this tells us that we can trust and rely on the Word of God.

Concerning God, this same Bible tells us many things about Him. For example:

God is Eternal - Isaiah 57:15 tells us, ''For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also, that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble and to revive the heart of the contrite.''
