I admit it. I don't shop like my wife. She researches, finds the best price at the best place, and then purchases.

When she's out casually shopping, she will head straight to the sale rack like a hummingbird to a feeder. Once there, she will search out something that catches her eye, check the price, and then check the tag to confirm the size and who designed it, before deciding to purchase it.

When I'm out casually shopping, like most men, I take the Julius Caesar approach: ''I came. I saw. I conquered.'' I see what catches my eye and head directly to that rack, read the information on the tag to confirm the size and who designed it and then lastly, I may check the price, before deciding to purchase it. Men are just different than woman and thank God for the difference!

You can know there were special garments described in the Bible, never found on the sale rack and worn exclusively by the High Priest and I'm referring to his garments of glory! He never had to wake up and walk to his closet asking, ''I wonder what I should wear today?'' If it was a workday, the decision of what to wear had previously been made by God.

According to Exodus 28.2, they were ''... holy garments ... for Aaron ...'' Garments that were ''holy'' were set apart garments; used when ministering before the Lord. God tells us these holy garments were ''... for glory and beauty.'' Of course, they were! I can imagine the tag inside the robe saying, ''Made By God!''

What we have beginning in Exodus 28 are the first designer clothes. Ralph Lauren doesn't have anything over on our God! These were holy garments, glorious garments, beautiful garments for their design reflected their designer. What that tells us is this: these garments point us to Jesus! No wonder God was so specific in his instructions to Moses regarding these garments. Keep in mind that the more we know ...
