''There is no peace, says the Lord, for the wicked.'' (Isaiah 48:22)

I was alone and hurting and desiring more of God. I would have peace occasionally, but I could never seem to keep it. Peace was present and then it would disappear. I could not seem to grasp it and keep it and in my journey to understand ''why'' the Lord guided me to the book of Nehemiah. What you are about to read is the Lord's teachings to my broken heart. His desire for my broken heart was to lead me to wholeness. Are you ready to find your peace and then be able to keep it within your heart?

Oh, my Lord, am I wicked? I have no peace tonight. Why Lord, why? Why don't I have any peace tonight?

Once again, I found my heart in turmoil and in a state of fear. I remember that night it seemed to center around a car accident seventeen years prior. The lack of peace also centered around failure and defeat. I decided that dark and cold night, with the help of the Holy Spirit to stop running and face that horrible car accident with His help. I decided to face my failures and all the areas where I faced defeat. I sought God's face and His answers to life.

As I turned over each issue in my life: stealing, pornography, lying, cheating, divorce, and bitterness, I found that God's peace was there. If I repented and released each memory, then the nightmares and the flashbacks would stop. I now started to experience visions from on high. Instead of torment, I now had a wonderful God given peace that remained.

I remembered as I went to Mexico to evangelize and speak with the street people how I would experience God's powerful presence. In His awesome presence I would find peace and power but why could I not keep this presence? At that moment when I was evangelizing I was in the Spirit my soul was aligned with my Creator.
