Well, Woodlands Church, this Friday we celebrate Good Friday and it's for good reason. As we celebrate the day that 2,000 years ago the Son of God took upon himself, all of our sins and shame and guilt and regret. And He shed his perfect, powerful sinless blood so that we could be totally forgiven. It is a Good Friday, and we celebrate it, and we celebrate Resurrection Sunday. That day, where the Son of God defeated death, hell and the grave. And He Rose again, to assure that we would experience resurrection and eternal life. We celebrate Resurrection Sunday. But I want to know about that Saturday sandwiched in between. The Saturday between crucifixion and resurrection. Some have called it Holy Saturday, but most people don't call it anything, as we don't really think about that Saturday between crucifixion and resurrection. And the Bible has a lot to say about the events of Good Friday and the crucifixion. And the Bible has a lot to say about the events of Resurrection Sunday, but there's very little sad about that Silent Saturday.

You see, most Christians celebrate Good Friday and Resurrection Sunday, but most Christ followers skip over remembering Silent Saturday. But in life, no one gets to skip over Silent Saturday. Silent Saturday, that season of in-between. Silent Saturday, that season between the struggle and the solution. Silent Saturday, that season between the hurt and the healing. We all have to go through Silent Saturday. That season of in-between where it seems like you're stuck and you're not making any progress. You're just there in your Silent Saturday. The season of in-between. For you see, it was on that Silent Saturday that the disciples dispersed in despair and they thought their Silent Saturday would last forever.
