INTRO.; THE MIRACLE OF RESTORATION

A. GOD IS A GOD OF THE MIRACULOUS

ILL. HAND YOU THE BIBLE ON DESERT ISLAND FOR
THE FIRST TIME. YOU WOULD REMEMBER MOST THE
MIRACLE POWER OF GOD.

1. The Bible is a record not only of our

Salvation but of the Power of God to do what man cannot do.

2. TO UNDO WHAT SATAN HAS DONE. DESTROY
SATAN'S WORK. HE WAS UNDOING SATAN'S WORK.


B. EVERYWHERE JESUS WENT HE WAS PERFORMING
MIRACLES.

1. MIRACLES MAKE UP APPROXIMATELY A THIRD OF
THE GOSPELS (MORE THAN THE PASSION NARRATIVE

2. healing, delivering from Satan's power,
raising the dead, etc.


C. THE SUPERNATURAL, MIRACULOUS WAS NOT A SIDE
ISSUE OF CHRISTIANITY BUT CENTRAL

Luke 11:20 "But if I cast out demons with the finger
of God, surely the kingdom of God has come upon you.(NKJ)

Luke 4:18 "The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because
He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; he has sent
Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to
the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those
who are oppressed; 19 To proclaim the acceptable year
of the Lord." 20 Then He closed the book, and gave it back to
the attendant and sat down. And the eyes of all who were
in the synagogue were fixed on Him. 21 And He began to say
to them, "Today this Scripture is fulfilled in your hearing."(NKJ)


D. THE MIRACULOUS, THE POWER OF GOD IS VITAL TO THE
MINISTRY OF THE SPIRIT, CHRIST TODAY

1. BECAUSE HE DECLARES, PROVES THAT THE POWER OF GOD
IS GREATER THAN THE POWER OF SATAN

2. THAT THE POWER OF GOD IS GREATER THAN OUR NEEDS. PROBLEMS,

3. THAT JESUS CAN HEAL OUR GREATEST WOUNDS AND DISEASES.


E. TODAY; THE GOD USE OF POWER FOR OUR NEEDS
