The God We Need

Haggai 2:1-9

If I were to pass out pen and paper to each of you and ask you to give me the greatest 3 needs in the world, what would you write? Because this is a church service, the answers would be decidedly 'religious,' but I wonder, what would be the answers outside.

When asked, Dr. R. C. Sproul responded this way, ''What we need is to discover the true identity of God.'' This is our need and the God we need. Our culture has many gods. Jesus, the 2nd person in the trinity, continued this theme 7 ''I am'' statement in His earthly life. ''I am the true vine, the bread of life, the light of the world, the door, the resur ...
