Just imagine that every morning when you open your eyes, there's a giant gift box sitting right next to your bed and it's labeled One Day. You think, ''Wow.'' You realize you've just been given this astonishing gift of being alive today. You're alive. You just got a ticket to ride this planet from sunrise to sunset. You have this amazing body. It's alive and you get to have a heart that's going to pump 1,680 gallons of blood through your body today. That's more gallons of blood than you'll put gallons of gas in your car in a year. That's just today and you'll breathe in and out 20,000 times and never even have to think about it.
When you have this amazing machine called your body that God's given you and all these systems are going to work all day long. You have 37.2 trillion cells in your body and they're all going to work together, more or less perfectly today, so that you can get up out of bed and go taste your coffee and see your family and read and listen and enjoy other people and laugh at a joke.
It's incredible, right? But the gift doesn't stop there. There's more because if you open the box of this gift of one day, you'll find the real treasure. Because this day is stuffed full of all kinds ...
