How would you respond to this statement? ''Our culture, community, church, needs revival?'' The good news is God wants to send it. The question is Do we want it? Both Vance Havner and Leonard Ravenhill said, ''If people understood revival, they may not want it.'' Why? ''CHANGE''. It was change in the past, is change, and will be change!

In Haggai 1, God was confronting the 'selfishness' of His people. The story is that He restored them, once again, from their bondage (In Babylon) to their Spiritual home place, told them to rebuild the temple, they had laid the foundation and quit. For 15 years, they had sought to build their own lives. The way God dealt with them is very apropos for us today. Remember those questions: ''Is it time for you to live in your luxurious houses, while MINE lies in ruins?'' He mocked, ''These people say, it is not time for the house of the Lord to be rebuilt.'' God was exposing their hearts and their need. They wanted to be about their business, doing their thing, building their own kingdoms, instead of being about work God had called them to. They ignored God. This attitude Among God's people, in Haggai 1:1-11. How about ours??

To their credit, God called them out, they repented, and revival came. (TEXT)

This message is fresh. Like them, too often we say by our lives, ''It's not time for us to focus on GOD'S agenda, we have things to do, places to go, and lives to live.'' But 'doing our own thing', causes a spiritual drought leaving us wondering why God doesn't seem to hear and answer your prayers. Jesus said, ''Don't store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal.
