Series: How the Church ACTS

Acts 21:17-22:22
Once upon a time... we came into this room and we opened our Bibles to Acts chapter 1... and since that moment, we've been walking through this incredible book and talking about the pattern of success in this thing called the Church.
And I want you to remember... It all started with Jesus...
• We began (Acts 1) by seeing the resurrected Christ present the Great Commission to the church... and then we saw Him ascend into the clouds.
• We witnessed 10 days of prayer concluding at the Day of Pentecost (in Acts 2)-when the Holy Spirit fell on the church and gave them the gift of communicating the Gospel to everyone present that day.
• We've seen Peter (a fisherman) be used by God; healing and preaching the Gospel despite the persecution he faced because of his faith.
• In Acts 7, Stephen was murdered because of his faith in Christ.
• In Acts 8, we see Saul, leading the charge in persecuting the church
• But then in (Acts 9) we see Saul become Paul after the scales fell off of his eyes... and he finally realized that Jesus truly was the Messiah.

His friends in Ephesus and the church leaders in Miletus... the disciples he stayed with in Tyre... even Luke (the author of this book) and Paul's other traveling companions on this journey... Everyone was saying, ''Don't go to Jerusalem!''
Why? Because it was dangerous. It would be difficult. The Holy Spirit had warn ...
