Happy Father's Day! At Second Baptist Church, we love our dads...and we honor you today. Where would we be without you? Men, I know how hard it is to be the husband and father that God has called you to be. You have a BIG job and I know it's a HUGE responsibility. But it's worth it. Being the man that God has called you to be is totally worth it.

Find your Bible and open to Psalm 44. We're in a series on Sunday mornings entitled, Summer in the Psalms. We are studying selected Psalms through June and July. And today, from Psalm 44, we'll talk about The Perfect Father. *I have a $100 bill right here in my hand. It's the award for the perfect father. All you have to do is come up here and get it. Anyone? Honestly, I was a little nervous that someone was going to try to come up here and grab the money anyway. Well, we all know better than that don't we. There's no such thing as a perfect father here on this earth.*

But the Bible tells us that God is our perfect Heavenly Father who loves us, redeems us, guides us, and encourages us. Here in Psalm 44, we see several truths about our perfect Heavenly Father. READ 1-3, 7-10, 23-26
