''There is a God-shaped vacuum in the heart of every man which cannot be filled by any created thing, but only by God, the Creator, made known through Jesus'' Blaise Pascal 1623 - 1662

There are around 20 major world religions which are subdivided into a total of 270 large religious groups. More countless small religions are out there and being created every day. While it brings much confusion it does testify to the fact that for whatever reason, many people in our world are trying to find a way to fill, as Pascal describes, this ''God-shaped vacuum.''

Praise God that He has not left us alone. We are not hopelessly searching for Him in the dark. He has left us clear signs of His existence and clear writings of His works and His identity. He is ''know-able'' and He has promised that we will find Him when we seek Him with all of our hearts.
In Matthew 7:13-14 Jesus teaches His listeners about the way that leads to God.
''Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few.''

Immediately one sees the contrast of the way of Christ and the way of the world. One gate is wide and the other is narrow. One gate is easy and the other is hard. One gate is used by many and the other gate by few. One gate leads to destruction and the other to life.''

Isn't it just like Satan, the Deceiver to make something that is so bad, look so good and something that is so good look so bad. Jesus warned us of this trap in John 10:10. ''The thief comes to kill, steal and destroy but I have come that you may have life and have it more abundantly.''

This beginning phrase of Matthew 7:13, ''enter by the narrow gate'' was spoken in such a way that to Jesus' listeners it was an urgent call that demanded immediate obedienc ...
