Our 71st lesson in our ''iBelieve'' series brings us to the greatest event in human history, the physical, bodily resurrection of Jesus.

There is no question that the resurrection of Jesus is the very centerpiece of the Christian faith. So much so that a person cannot even be saved without a belief in this truth. ''For if you will confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead you will be saved.'' (Romans 10:13)

The resurrection of Jesus is the foundation of the story we tell. Paul said the gospel is the good news ''that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures and was buried and rose again on the third day according to the Scriptures.'' (1 Cor. 15:3-4)

It's the focus of the songs we sing. From the timeless hymns to the new worship songs, so much of the music we sing takes us to the empty tomb of our risen Savior.

He lives, He lives, Christ Jesus lives today!

Because He lives I can face tomorrow

You lived, You died, You said in 3 days You would rise

There in the ground His body lay, Light of the World by darkness slain, then bursting forth in glorious day, up from the grave He rose again!

Often, in song, we will ask and answer a great question: Who has felt the nails upon His hands, bearing all the guilt of sinful man? God eternal humbled to the grave, Jesus, Savior, risen now to reign...
