John 11:1-27

We've been walking our way, verse-by-verse through John's gospel on Sunday mornings and we've made our way up to the 11th chapter. Today I want to preach from the first 27 verses of this chapter in a message I've called, ''When God Delays.''

Today's text is about those times when God's timing seems to be off.
Those times He seems to have missed the boat and dropped the ball.
Those times where this typically on-time God seems to be running late.

One of my professors in college used to lock the door on the hour. He would not let anyone in late. He said, ''If you're going to be late, don't bother coming.'' Timing is everything.

But does that idea apply to God? Can God ever be late? Can God ever ''not show up until it's too late?'' And when He seems to, how are we supposed to ...
