The story before us today is about an unexpected biblical hero, his name was ''Simon of Cyrene'' who was pushed onto the biblical landscape against his will, if he had been five minutes early, we would not know about him, but if he had been five minutes late, there would be no record of him in the bible.
God had chosen this man for this time period and this moment in history. Thankfully Simon did not wilt under the magnitude of the moment and we are all better off in reading about his unique moment in biblical history, he was a real life hero, and surely we need more heroes, don't we?
