Series: Obey Everything
Steve Jones
Matthew 24

SERMON SUMMARY: This sermon addresses Jesus' command to be watchful in these ways: 1) UNDERSTAND the times, 2) MIND the times, 3) REDEEM the times.

Introduction: Today we continue our sermon series ''Obey Everything'' by looking at Jesus command to ''Keep watch'' in Matthew 24:42. Jesus says, ''keep watch,'' in relation to his second coming and the end of the world. So, it's kind of important. Today, before the end of this message, I'm going to tell you WHEN Jesus will return. Now, we have some knowledgeable students in here of both the Bible and history. Some of you can probably answer the disciples first question because it has already happened. In what year was that Jewish temple destroyed? A.D. 70. The Jews rebelled and rioted against their Roman overlords one too many times and the Roman army, led by fu ...
